Multiple Sharks Receive All SCCAL Baseball Honors

Congratulations to Jacob Cardona, Danny Cervantes, Sahid Valenzuela, Ruben Ibarra, Nick Ciandro, Josh Rodriguez, Jack People and Braxton Peterson on receiving All SCCAL League honors. The St. Francis baseball team had a great year earning a share of the SCCAL League championship and advancing to the quarterfinals of the open division CCS playoffs. The season also included wins over powerhouse programs such as Archbishop Mitty and the Nevada state champions Bishop Gorman. The team also won the Bishop Gorman Tournament over Spring Break in Las Vegas, NV.
 
Senior Jacob Cardona earned 1st Team Honors as an outfielder for his work as the teams right fielder. Junior Danny Cervantes earned honors for his performance on the mound as he was selected as a pitcher for the 1st Team All SCCAL Team. Junior Sahid Valenzuela earned 1st Team Honors as an infielder for his great work as the teams short stop. Rounding out the 1st Team was sophomore Ruben Ibarra as he was selected to the Utility/DH position for the All SCCAL Team. Senior Nick Ciandro was recognized for his work behind the plate as the 2nd Team All SCCAL catcher. Fellow senior Josh Rodriguez was recognized for his work on the mound as a 2nd Team ALL SCCAL pitcher. Senior Braxton Peterson earned 2nd Team All SCCAL honors as an infielder for his work as the teams 2nd baseman. Rounding out the list of honors for the Sharks is junior Jack Peoples earning 2nd Team All SCCAL as an infielder for his work as the teams 3rd basemen.
 
This group of seniors has done great things for St. Francis in leading St. Francis to a 2013 SCCAL league championship, a 2014 finalist in the CCS playoffs and a 2015 share of the SCCAL league championship. You will me missed and we will never forget you! Go Sharks!
