Sharks Football Beats Pacific Grove 48-7

Congratulations to the St. Francis football team on their 48-7 win over Pacific Grove on Friday night. The Sharks scoring started early and often as Andy O' Rourke recovered a fumble for a touchdown. Shortly after that Derric Estrada-Haro connected on a TD pass to Mario Velasquez to put the score at 14-0. Estrada-Haro would then run in a TD on 4th and goal to put the score at 21-0 and the flood gates were open. After that Andrew Seymour scored one touchdown through the air and another on the ground aided by a great downfield block by Abel Martinez. Aaron Soto scored on a short TD run and Devin McLeod finished the scoring with a 32 yard TD run. The Sharks ran for 230 yards behind the blocking of Diego Ramirez, Josh Kovacs, Johnny Ceballos, Hunter Blinkenberg, Ethan LoBue, Cory Parker, Lawson Orradre, Tanner Putnins and Luke Gerami.

The Sharks defense has only given up 27 points on the season and continued to play great Friday night as Linebackers Aaron Soto and Andy O' Rourke shut down the edges.

The Sharks now move into MTAL Coastal division play with a 3-1 record and they take on Marina next Saturday at 2 pm at St. Francis High School. The game will also be Homecoming for the Sharks so come out and support your Sharks!
