Students are welcome to apply for admission to St. Francis High School for their sophomore, junior, or senior year. Transfer applications are considered on a space-available basis. 

Students who wish to transfer should be certain they meet the minimum criteria below before completing an application:

  • The student has been enrolled in a college preparatory course of study every previous semester of high school that is comparable to that of St. Francis High School.
  • The student has a 2.75 grade point average (B-) or better in college preparatory courses, inclusive of English, Modern Language, Mathematics, Science, and Social Studies.
  • The student has accrued academic units in keeping with this schedule:

                                      10th grade……………………60 units completed
                                      11th grade…………………...120 units completed
                                      12th grade…………………...180 units completed
 
To apply to transfer to St. Francis High School, applicants must submit the following:

          • Application
          • $50.00 application fee
          • Transcript of all high school work completed*
          • Principal / Counselor Evaluation*
          • Math Instructor Evaluation*
          • English Instructor Evaluation*

*All evaluation forms and transcript must be sent or faxed from the school or hand-delivered in a sealed envelope.

Applicants must also take a readiness exam administered at St. Francis High School.

Transfer applications will be evaluated by the admissions committee along with the academic vice-principal.  All courses, college-preparatory units, and grades must be recognized transferable and accepted by St. Francis to be applicable towards graduation. 

Upon completion of application file, the admissions office will contact the family for a student and family interview with a member of the admissions committee.  Transfer admissions decisions are then communicated by mail within two weeks following the interview.

Upon admission, final transcripts (including the most recent grading period) must be submitted to St. Francis for review. 

Transfer applications are reviewed monthly beginning March, 2008

Applications received after May 15 will be subject to a $25 testing surcharge to recoup increased scoring fees incurred by the testing service.
