Congratulations to the Class of 2013

Champions of "Battle for the Paddle 2012"! In a spirited competition among classes, the junior class, with its "Circus" theme, claimed the crown on Thursday, March 15th. Members of the junior class regale the audience with a portion of the class dance performance (above).

Wednesday, May 9th: Enjoy a meal and benefit SFCC!

Grab a great breakfast or lunch and do a favor for St. Francis! On Wednesday, May 9, from 6 a.m.-3 p.m., a portion of all sales at the Red Apple Cafe goes back to St. Francis Central Coast Catholic High School. The Red Apple is located at 589 Auto Center Dr. in Watsonville.
 


Mother/Son Evening: Miniature Golf and Ice

Saturday, May 19th, 7:30PM


Mothers and their sons--or mother figures, guardians, or even a mother with an "adopted son" for the evening--are invited to an evening of fun for adults and young men from St. Francis.  The cost: $15 for a mother/son couple; $20 if a mother and two sons.  The place: Neptune's Kingdom Miniature Golf at the Santa Cruz Boardwalk.

Reservations must be made by May 14th, to ldvmdv2@yahoo.com or by calling the main office at 724-5933.  Payment to the main office by May 15th at 8 AM (so we can reserve spots). 

Campus "Study Day":

Saturday, May 19th, 9 AM - 12 noon

The campus chapters of the National Honor Society and the California Schoalrship Federation sponsor a morning of shared study.  All students are encouraged to attend and devote some hours to preparation for semester exams.  Morning refreshments will be provided and prize drawings for all attendees!

 

A "Cutting Edge" Education: iPads Program, 2012-13

In the last Principal's Newsletter, it was announced that the school will launch its 1-to-1 program of iPad use in August, 2012.  IN August, every student will be issued an iPad for use throughout the year--on campus and at home each night.  This provides St. Francis students with the latest in technology for the betterment of their education.  Complete details of this exciting advance are included in the last Principal's Newsletter.

Applicant Entrance Exams:
Current 8th graders applying to St. Francis for the fall term, 2012, are required to take an entrance exam. If you missed the exam dates held in January, you can still take the test by contact the Admissions Office. For information and to sign up for the exam, contact Marie Marheineke in Admissions on campus: 831-724-5933, ext. 206.

Applicants: See St. Francis in Action:
Students who have filed an application for admission for the fall, 2012 term are encouraged to spend a day on campus to see St. Francis at work. Our "Shadow-A-Shark" program pairs an applicant with a current student so he or she can get a sense of a school day here on campus. "Shadow" days begin in January; to schedule yours, contact Marie Marheineke in Admissions on campus: 831-724-5933, ext. 206.
