Reminder regarding the Winter Dance,
January 27th: Students attending the Winter Dance this
Friday are reminded of the Dance Dress Code; the Dance Dress
Code was sent home in the last Principal's Newsletter; is
displayed on the window of Room H21 on campus; and was
reviewed with students in their theology classes last
week. Please be mindful that no SFCC student nor any
SF guest will be admitted to the dance if he or she is
dressed in violation of the Dress Code.
Important Deadline for
Current Students to Register for Next Year's
Classes: February 8th. Planning for next
year's classes begins now, and students have been oriented
through their current classes on the process by which they
select classes for the 2012-13 school year. A critical
deadline is on the short horizon: Students are to submit the
signed and completed
course selection
paper form AND to select courses on
Edline (only available
through the student's log-on) by 3 PM on Wednesday, February 8.
After this
deadline, failure to complete either of these tasks carries
a $20 charge. Questions? Contact
Mr, Vic Suarez, Academic Vice Principal, at extension 203
on campus.
Mora

basketball game held that evening at 7:30, and all the
Mora gang will be our guests at the game, as well!
If you were a Mora Matador, bring your spouse and join the
group and swap memories from years past. PLease RSVP
to Mark paxton, Development Director, at 831-724-5933,

A New Website Feature: Google Calendar:
When you now visit the
school’s website and go to the calendar page, you’ll see a
new Google Calendar for school events. We have added this
service so that you can stay up-to-date with school events
no matter where you are, and no matter what electronic
device you have. Part of this service includes the ability
for you to subscribe to this calendar if you already use the
popular Google Calendar service. This would mean any future
events added to the calendar will be added to your Google
Calendar, as well.
This calendar feature will serve as the new calendar for the school for a number of reasons:
1. Updates and calendar changes: This calendar will display event changes and additions as soon as the school announces them.
2. Printing options: If you still need a printed copy of the school calendar, you can do so from the calendar page. You have the option of printing these Daily, Weekly, Monthly. Just look for the 'Print' option and follow the steps.
3. Subscribe feature: If you already use Google Calendar as do our faculty and students, you can subscribe to this calendar. This feature will automatically update your calendar as the school one is updated--meaning any changes we make will automatically show up on your calendar. To subscribe to this calendar just click on the "+ Google Calendar" icon on the bottom right.
4. Going Green: The school means to reduce its impact on environmental concerns by reducing paper use wherever possible.
Applicant Entrance Exams:
Current 8th graders applying to St. Francis for the fall term,
2012, are required to take an entrance exam. If you
missed the exam dates held in January, you can still take the
test by contact the Admissions Office. For information
and to sign up for the exam, contact Marie Marheineke in
Admissions on campus: 831-724-5933, ext. 206.
Applicants: See St. Francis in Action: Students who have filed an application for admission for the fall, 2012 term are encouraged to spend a day on campus to see St. Francis at work. Our "Shadow-A-Shark" program pairs an applicant with a current student so he or she can get a sense of a school day here on campus. "Shadow" days begin in January; to schedule yours, contact Marie Marheineke in Admissions on campus: 831-724-5933, ext. 206.
Winter Sports Are Underway!: Follow
the link on this page under "student life" to the St. Francis
sports website for a complete listing of winter sports
contests: "go-sharks.net."
Annual Report, 2010-11:
The Annual Report for St. Francis has been produced by the
Development Office. Hard copies were mailed to all our
donors last week, and an electronic copy can be found by
following the link on this page (see below). "The Next
Step," as the title of this year's report suggests, not only
acknowledges a year of successes for St. Francis that have
come from this community's generosity; it also outlines a
vision for the near future for the school. Thanks to all
who continue to partner with St. Francis.
Support the Sharks and Enjoy Reading: Even though the fall Magazine Drive is over, you can support St. Francis throughout the year by ordering your magazines on-line; just click on the QSP button on this page. Thanks in advance for your support of the Sharks!
Shark Tales: The quarterly publication of the Alumni and Development offices, "Shark Tales," is now available for download from the school's homepage. Enjoy the photographic summary of events on campus!
Alumni: Stay in Touch on Facebook:
The school maintains a Facebook page precisely designed for
our alumni. Check us out, keep in touch, find out about
upcoming alumni events, and send a message to Lauren
Zachmeier, Class of 2007, our Alumni Coordinator..
