Athletics

On June 3rd at Spring Hills Golf Course, we are having our 2nd Annual Spring Swing Golf Tournament to grow our community and raise money for athletics. Lunch and dinner will be provided. There will be special  promotions on the course, such as long drive hole, closest to the pin hole, beat the coach hole, a Poker hole, and raffle prizes. Bring your friends out and support your Sharks!

On May 19th from 4:30-7 pm, St. Francis will host a Sports Physicals Night in the Borina Athletic Center. Come get your yearly sports physical for only $25 and support St. Francis Athletics in the process.

Congratulations to four Sharks who made the All SCCAL Girls Basketball Team. Senior Cameron Croghan was named First Team All League, Sophomore Janiya Sevilla earned 2nd Team All League, Senior Shelby Robinett earned Honorable Mention All League, and Freshmen Riley Croghan earned an Honorable Mention to the All League team. Go Sharks!

Spring sports are in full swing and are now entering league play. Swimming was at SLV on March 14th. The team won their first league dual meet for boys and girls vs Harbor. Softball earned non league victories over Marina and Pajaro Valley and now enter league play playing at Harbor on April 12th.

Baseball got a big win vs San Benito of Hollister on Friday, April 8th. Junior Ruben Ibarra hit two home runs that day and senior Danny Cervantes pitched a complete game for the win. They are 2-1 in league play with wins over SLV and Soquel. Their next league game comes on April 12th vs Aptos.

Track and Field has had a strong start to the season and will be at Soquel on April 14th for their next meet. Emma Ryan was just spotlighted in the Register-Pajaronian and she did a phenomenal job representing our school. The golf team had a long break over Easter break, but was able to get some practice at Crazy Horse Ranch and they look forward to their next match on April 12th vs SLV at Boulder Creek.

Stay tuned to the Athletics page at stfrancishigh.net for scores, schedules, and game times. Go Sharks!
