From The Office of the Assistant Principal of Academics

Congratulations to the class of 2016 and welcome to the class of 2020!  It was wonderful to be a part my 13th commencement ceremony here at St. Francis.  I know I speak for the entire faculty when I say we are extremely proud of the accomplishments of this graduating class and wish them well as they move on to their next step in an educational journey full of curiosity, critical thinking, and lifelong learning.  I am equally as excited to welcome in the class of 2020!  It was great meeting so many of our new students and parents during the Freshman Orientation on June 5th.  Lockers are being cleaned, desks refurbished, and teachers are enjoying a well deserved respite in preparation for our new freshman class and the returning sharks!  Listed below are some important items to note this summer as we prepare for the 2016-2017 school year.

Report Cards - Second semester report cards have been printed and mailed home.  Report cards are also available for review on RenWeb.  To view the report card on RenWeb:

Log into your RenWeb account and go to Student Information > Report Card.  (You may print your student's report card from here, if you would like an additional copy.)

Student Schedules for 2016-2017 - Freshman families picked up their schedules during the freshman orientation.  Returning students were provided their schedules in May.  Student schedules for next year remain available for viewing on RenWeb.  Please note that although the classes have been set there are some adjustments that will continue to be made over the summer (e.g., 2016-2017 locker numbers and some teacher assignments are not finalized).  If you would like to request a change in schedule, please complete the form found on the St. Francis web site and return it to my office:

Changes in schedule cannot be guaranteed at this point and may be contingent upon departmental approval.

Textbooks/eBooks -  The booklist can be found on the St. Francis web site:

Parents and students are encouraged to obtain books from students moving on to the next grade or from affordable book sellers.  It is crucial however that purchased books match the ISBN number listed on the booklist.  Any approved electronic books should be downloaded directly from iBooks, or another source, on to the school provided iPad.  For those families that prefer "one stop shopping," our online book provider ESCO will have books available for purchase beginning in July.

Summer Reading - The English department provided you with a hard copy of the summer reading list for English classes in your report card mailing or at the freshman orientation.  The link can also be found on the St. Francis website:

Thank you for your support and encouragement throughout the 2015-2016 school year! If you have any questions regarding the items listed above or any academic issues, please feel free to contact me at [email protected] or (831) 724-5933 x203.

Sincerely,
