Santa Cruz’s premier local solar installation company provided free solar energy and a slot car track for this year’s “Zero Waste Week” event. Students were provided with free stickers and a chance to learn about sustainable energy harvested from the sun. This fit in perfectly with the “Zero Waste Week” theme as using solar energy creates no toxic emissions and reduces the use of fossil fuels, effectively decreasing our carbon footprint.
