St. Francis Hires New Women's Basketball Coach

We are proud to announce the next Head Coach for the St. Francis High School Women's Basketball team is Meghan Garcia. Garcia graduated locally from Notre Dame High School- Salinas. While playing basketball at Notre Dame, she achieved All-County Defensive Honor Team. She continued on to play two years at Hartnell Community College, finishing her Associates Degree in General Studies. Garcia is now finishing up with her Bachelors Degree from CSU- Monterey Bay studying Human Communications. Garcia also plans to continue at CSU-Monterey Bay to earn a Teaching Credential in English. Before becoming Head Varsity Women’s coach, Meghan worked as a coach for the JV team and worked her way up to become the Assistant Varsity Head coach. For the past 3 years, dedication to the game has never been questioned, but has been seen as a pathway to success. We look forward to Coach Garcia leading our Women's team to great heights and continue the great tradition of Lady Sharks basketball at St. Francis!
