Women’s Varsity Volleyball: Bellucci outstanding as Sharks pursue Hawks for a 3-0 win!
St. Francis Junior Samantha Bellucci (OH) was simply outstanding and played with confidence while battling against the Hawks of Anzar High School. Teammate Emma Ryan (OH) was strong on passing to veteran setter Audrey Ryan. Middles Laura Martinelli and Madison Orradre kept their roofs strong, denying the Hawks’ attacks from soaring over the net into Shark territory. Akemi Ito (L) and sisters Victoria (SS) and Kathleen (DS) Tripp stayed aggressive and added to the success of the team. This win (25-21) (25-17) (25-18) is the Shark’s third, bringing their preseason record to 3-1. League play begins Tuesday, September 6 against Soquel HS at St. Francis. JV begins at 5:00 pm, Varsity at 6:30 pm. Congratulations ladies!
