Frequently Asked Questions

1.   Tickets will be sold only in advance online. They will not be available at the door.

i.            Tickets are non-transferable and non-refundable.

a.      Tickets are $65 single / $75 starting January 25th

b.      Ticket sales will close February 1, 2026 at 11:59 PM.

ii.          Parents will be notified if a student purchases a ticket and does not show-up for the dance.

iii.        Students are permitted to invite a guest and MUST complete a Dance Guest pass.

a.      This completed pass must be submitted to the Dean of Students by Tuesday, February 3, 2026 at 3:00 PM.

b.      Approved guests must present their student body card or a valid id upon check-in.

2.  This formal dance is held off-campus from 6:30-10:00 PM.

i.            Doors to the dance will close at 7:00 PM.

ii.          Dinner will NOT be served at this formal dance.

iii.        Students who leave the dance early may not return. Students can leave the dance starting at 9:30 PM.

iv.        Students are to be picked-up promptly after the dance. Parking is included and available on site in the venue lot.

Code of Dance

Students are required to dance in an appropriate manner, in keeping with community standards. Any student displaying inappropriate dancing will be warned once by a dance chaperone. Subsequent violations will result in the student being dismissed from the dance. Parents will be notified prior to the student leaving the dance. A student dismissed from a dance is liable for exclusion from future dances, as determined by the Dean of Discipline.

All bags are subject to search. St. Francis High School is not responsible for personal belongings brought to the dance. All students will be asked to take a breathalyzer. If there is a reading of alcohol the student will not be admitted into the dance and their parents/guardians will be called.

SFHS students are responsible for informing their guests of all school dance regulations and ensuring conformance to these regulations.

 

Dance Dress Code

FORMAL/SEMI-FORMAL DANCES

The Dean of Students will refuse admission to anyone whose behavior and/or attire is not appropriate for the dance. SFHS students are responsible for their guests’ behavior and manner of dress.

a.                  Appropriate attire includes a sport coat or suit jacket with a long sleeve collared shirt, tie (or mandarin/band collar shirt) and dress shoes (no flip flops, sandals, sneakers or athletic shoes).  Hats are not permitted.

b.              Dresses must be semi-formal and formal length. One-shoulder strap, spaghetti straps, halter tops, boat necks, and strapless dresses are permitted. Strapless dresses must be secure. Skirt length must stay at least six inches from the mid-knee, including the skirt slit, and must have 3 inches of material from the natural waistline in the back. Plunging necklines, excessive cleavage, and open backs are not permitted. Dresses/skirts that expose the torso or have sheer illusion are not permitted. Dress shoes or heels are required (no flip flops, athletic shoes, Crocs, Uggs, sandals, or changing into casual shoes).

c.      Dance attendees including guest must wear neat, clean, clothing that displays levels of modesty in keeping with the Dress Code of St. Francis High School  Attendess must also wear shoes during the time of the event (i.e. no bare feet on the dance floor).  The school has the final decision as to the compliance of all dress and grooming codes.  If a student is determined by the staff not to be in compliance then he or she will not be allowed entrance into the dance and the parent(s) will be notified.   

Students are STRONGLY advised to consult with the Dean of Students if there are any questions regarding specific dresses outfits.
