From the Athletics Director

Dear St. Francis Families,

Hello to all St. Francis friends and families. Welcome to the 2019-20 athletic year! HERE is the link to electronically sign-up for volunteer opportunities for our athletic department to host our fall sports events. We could not put on such great events without your help.

Our Volleyball season under Coach Guy Putnins will begin with a Jamboree on Saturday, August 24th at North Salinas HS. Our first match will be a Sportsmanship Match at 7pm on August 26th at St. Francis High School.

XCOur Football and Cheer season under Coach John Ausman and Coach Amanda Martinez will begin on August 23rd with a Jamboree at Watsonville HS. Then our first game will be Thursday, August 29th at Watsonville High School as we take on King City. JV kickoff will be at 5pm and varsity at 7:30pm.

Our Cross Country team under Coach Ramona Young will begin with the Watermelon Run on August 28th at Pinto Lake. Our tennis team under Coach Jacqueline Fryn will begin on September 3rd at Scotts Valley at 3:30pm.

SambrailoThis year we will not be doing our Luau; we’ve decided to focus our fundraising efforts in other areas. However, we are currently selling tickets to the Atlanta Falcons vs. San Francisco 49ers game on Sunday, December 15th. This is a great opportunity to support former Shark Ty Sambrailo, who is now on the Atlanta Falcons. Tickets for the 200 level are $75 each and tickets for the 400 level are $50 each. Tickets are limited, so please act fast to purchase your tickets.

Thank you all for your support. Any questions or concerns please contact Athletic Director Adam Hazel at [email protected] or 831-724-5933 x 207.

Go Sharks,
Mr. Adam Hazel
