FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:

The St. Francis Athletic Department has announced the appointment of Adam Noto as the school’s new Head Softball Coach for the 2019-2020 school year. Noto is a familiar face and brings a tremendous amount of experience and knowledge to the team, as he has worked alongside former coach Art Doten as Assistant Coach for the past two years. Under his guidance, Noto helped the Sharks go 29-19-1 overall, 19-8 in league play and helped the Sharks win their first league championship in 2019, as well as appear in CCS for the first time. Noto met with his new players this week.

"We want to thank former Head Coach Art Doten for all he did for our softball program,” said St. Francis Athletic Director, Adam Hazel. “Under his leadership, we won our first ever league championship in school history, made CCS for the first time in school history and had many girls be awarded to All-League teams.” Doten was the Head Softball coach at St. Francis for the past five years and totaled 44 wins over that time period. Doten was also the SCCAL Coach of the Year in 2018. Hazel continues, “As we transition to our new Head Coach Adam Noto, we are very excited to see him continue in our tradition here at St. Francis. We're happy to have him as our new head coach as he has done a tremendous job as our assistant coach over the last couple of years, and we know he'll do a great job leading our program."
