From the Dean of Students

Dear Students and Parents,

St. Francis High School will be continuing our relationship with the Wonder Woofs Company to provide trained detection canines to conduct safety inspections on campus. These are school safety canines, and they are trained to detect the presence of illicit substances: drugs, alcohol, and gunpowder-based items. St. Francis contracted with this respected company to provide the highest level of safety and prevention for school and school-sponsored events. All campus buildings, parking lots, and grounds may be randomly inspected for prohibited items throughout the rest of the year. It is our goal to be Salesian and to be preventive; it is not our goal to “catch” and issue consequences. We are committed to providing the highest level of safety and prevention. However, if prohibited items are detected and found, the school’s administration will initiate the appropriate disciplinary action in line with our Student Family Handbook. We are pleased to offer this extra layer of safety and prevention. If you have any questions or comments please feel free to contact me at [email protected] or my extension, 155.

Thank you,
Mr. Anthony Valdivia
Dean of Students
