Congratulations to the Drama class and their successful production of the Theater Arts Showcase last week! This year, I was impressed by our thespian’s ability to develop their characters and convey the emotions needed to deliver strong and entertaining performances. I am also pleased to announce that supporters of the TAS raised $480 to go towards a charitable organization in the name of the Schaub family. Thank you all for your support.
Our Choir class participated in an exciting field trip a couple weeks ago. We were able to connect with alumni family, the Arcilla's, who own and operate Valley Haven Assisted Living Center in Santa Cruz. Choir students performed a fall concert for the Assisted Living residents. Afterwards, our students went to an “escape room” and had a wonderful team building experience. Our annual appearance on KSBW’s “Share Your Holidays” will take place on Friday, December 6th; be sure to tune in to see live performances by our Band and Choir. Our annual Christmas Concert will be on Sunday, December 15th. More details to come!
Our SFHS Pep Band and Drumline will make their combined Band debut this Friday at our Homecoming Pep Rally and at the Homecoming Football game. They will also play for the Senior Night Football game on Friday, November 8th. These ensembles will also be performing throughout the day at our Open House on Sunday, November 17th. Come see them in action and see what the hype is all about!
