From the Athletic Director

Dear St. Francis Families,

Winter sports are officially in full swing. We are still in need of volunteers for our ticket gate and concessions for basketball. HERE is the link to sign up; thank you for helping put on great events for our student athletes.
Thank you to those who attended the Falcons vs 49ers game a few weeks ago to support alumnus Ty Sambrailo (‘10). His family was so appreciative that we had over 50 people from St. Francis in attendance and it was great to see so many Sharks at the game.

Congratulations to our Boys Cross Country Team on their great performance at the CIF State Meet on November 30th!

Our Girls Soccer season is underway as they beat Monterey High School in the Watsonville Tournament and had a close match vs Pacific Grove. The first league match will be Wednesday, January 15th at Soledad.

Boys Soccer season is also underway, as the Sharks took on Monte Vista Christian, SLV, Pacific Grove and Stevenson in non-league games. The Sharks first league match will be Tuesday, January 14th vs Ceiba.

The Girls Basketball team came in 1st place in the Watsonville High School Tournament. They have also defeated Pajaro Valley, University Prep, North Monterey County, Anzar and Harbor. The first league game for the girls will be Tuesday, January 14th vs Soledad.

Our Boys Basketball team also recently won the Watsonville High School tournament with victories over Oakwood, King City and Trinity Christian. The boys have also beat University Prep, PCS, Gonzales and Marina. The first league game will be Monday, January 13th vs Pajaro Valley.

Our Wrestling team just hosted our 2nd Annual Don Bosco Wrestling Invitational with over 110 wrestlers here on our St. Francis campus. Our Sharks have also competed and done well in tournaments at Harbor and Gonzales. Our first league quad meet will be January 7th at St. Francis.

Go Sharks,

Mr. Adam Hazel
Athletic Director
