Seniors
I want to congratulate parents of the seniors who have been admitted to many colleges and universities. To name a few: University of Notre Dame, Chapman University, Seton Hall University, Montana State University, Boise State University, University of Alabama, Sacramento State University, St. Mary's College, University of Loyola Chicago, Southern Methodist University, DePaul University, University of Portland, Oregon State University, University of Oregon, University of Denver, University of Arizona, Texas Christian University, Western Washington University, Baylor University and more... Congrats!
  • Seniors, the FAFSA deadline is Monday, March 2, 2020... if you haven't submitted your FAFSA yet, please do so immediately.
  • Scholarship Season: Don't forget to give your teachers at least 1-2 weeks notice for Letters of Recommendation.
  • Seniors, I need your Final College List by Wednesday, February 12th.
  • Visit the college and university campuses where you have been admitted!
 
Juniors
Juniors should be scheduling Junior Parent Appointments with Ms. Gutierrez between 2/4- 2/14 and 2/24-3/6. Students should have their college lists ready by the time they meet with Ms. Gutierrez. A sign-up sheet will be available in the Counseling Office.
  • Juniors should register for the SAT on Saturday, March 14th OR the ACT on Saturday, April 4th
  • Junior Parent Night will be held on Monday, February 10th at 6 pm in the Art Room; please RSVP via the emailed invitation.
  • Visit college campuses during your Winter Break!
  • Work on your resume via Naviance
 
Sophomores
I am happy to announce that I had the opportunity to meet with all Sophomore students on January 27th, thanks to Mr. Ausman's willingness to let me present in his classes. Students learned about graduation requirements, college requirements, and college systems in general. Sophomores had the responsibility to submit the College Research Assignment and transcripts with parent signatures to Mr. Ausman for class credit.
  • Sophomore Parent Night will be held on Tuesday, March 3rd, 2020 and an invitation will be sent soon!
  • Students should visit college campuses during your Winter Break!
  • Students should work on their resume via Naviance
 
Freshman
  • While we recommend that all students take advantage of tutorial time. Freshmen with a D or an F in any class have mandatory tutorial. Please contact Mrs. Lemus if you have any questions.
  • As we start preparing for next school year, please start speaking with your student regarding the courses that they would like to be placed in for next year. Course selection sheets will be distributed soon.
  • I will continue to have meetings with individual students to discuss first semester grades, PSAT 8/9 scores and classes for next year.
  • Please reach out to me if you have any questions or concerns about your students.
