Sharks Heading To CCS

The Sharks will send three athletes to the CCS track and field championships on May 18th at Gilroy High School, after a strong showing by the Sharks at the SCCAL championships. Senior Joe Maleta placed 2nd in the High Jump with a height of 5'10". His performance earns him a trip to the CCS championship. Maleta secured another berth to the CCS meet with a 11'0'' leap in the pole vault, tying his school record.

Senior Clancy Ryan came out big with a 2nd place finish in the shot put at 41'-00.75" to qualify for the CCS Championship also. Ryan holds the St. Francis school record in both the shot put and discus.

On the women's side, senior Lulu Alvarez placed 2nd in the shot put with a throw of 29'8", which earned her her third trip to the CCS.
