The St. Francis Sharks Freshmen Basketball Team gets in the win column for the first time this season with a 35-32 effort vs. Mt. Madonna. The game was close from tip to buzzer and the Sharks had to overcome a 4 point deficit in the 2nd half to overtake the Hawks. Leading the way for the Sharks was the dynamic backcourt of Joseph Kovacs and Braxton Rico. Kovacs poured in 11 points all in the 2nd half and Rico scored 7 points. Down in the paint Richie Martinez greatly contributed to the win with 7 points and a star performance on the defensive end of the court. The Sharks next game is Saturday December 14th at 10:30 AM on campus in the Borina Athletic Center vs. Seaside High School.
