The JV Lady Sharks lost their first game of the season in the championship game of the Santa Cruz tournament to a talented Valley Christian team, 36-27. The Sharks played a great first half and were down six at halftime, but a scoreless third quarter and great defense by Valley Christian was too much for the Sharks to overcome. All-tournament honors went to Megan Kelly and Ashlind Martinez for their great play throughout the tournament. The JV Lady Sharks will look to get back on a winning streak when they host Seaside High School on Tuesday.
