Congratulations to the St. Francis boys soccer team for beating Monte Vista Christian 2-1. The Sharks goal scorers were Rafael Ribeiro and Cory Parker. The Sharks were also playing short handed as co-captain Will Salady who was out with an illness. The Sharks take the field next on Friday at home vs Trinity Christian at 3:30 pm. Then on Saturday St. Francis will host Palma with the JV kicking off at 1 pm and varsity at 3 pm.
The girls team had a great showing at Anzar, but fell just short as the game finished at 1-0. Jocie Torres and Camile Baylis both made great saves at goalie. Katie Farley had some dazzling plays in the field and some great shots on goal. The Lady Sharks will be in the Watsonville HS tournament starting Saturday. Kickoff times TBD.
