Congratulations to the St. Francis Sharks boys basketball team for finishing with a 12-0 record in SCCAL play this winter! The Sharks finished it off with a 59-54 win at Aptos. The high flying Chase Watkins poured in 23 points including the game clinching free throws with 3 seconds left. Watkins also wowed the crowd with 2 slam dunks on the night. Jason Gallo had 16 points on the night and Ruben Ibarra scored 13 points. Sandor Rodriguez had 3 points and led the team in assists. EJ Kelly came off the bench to hit a critical 3 pointer in the 2nd quarter.
The Sharks now enter the SCCAL tournament as the #1 seed and will play Thursday night February 16th at Scotts Valley High School in the semi finals with a tip off time TBD. The Sharks also have already qualified for the Boys CCS Division V Tournament and will host the quarterfinal round on February 25th with a tip off time TBD.
