Dear St. Francis Families,
Happy Advent Season
Below are two apps to help guide you this Advent season in the preparation of our Savior’s birth.Below are two apps to help guide you this Advent season in the preparation of our Savior’s birth.
1. Brought to you by the Archdiocese of Sydney, Australia, this calendar app opens up each day with new resources and material to aid your Advent Journey to Christmas Day. This year’s theme examines a quote from Venerable Fulton Sheen: “Divinity Is Always Where One Least Expects To Find It” http://www.xt3.com/advent/
2. Pray as you go is a daily prayer session, designed to go with you wherever you go, to help you pray whenever you find time, but particularly whilst traveling to and from work, study, etc.
A new prayer session is produced every day of the working week and one session for the weekend. It is not a 'Thought for the Day', a sermon or a bible-study, but rather a framework for your own prayer. Lasting between ten and thirteen minutes, it combines music, scripture and some questions for reflection. I highly recommend it!

Las Posadas is a novenario (nine days of religious observance) celebrated chiefly in Mexico and by Mexican-Americans in the United States, beginning December 16 and ending December 24.
Two people dress up as Mary and Joseph. Certain houses are designated to be an "inn" (thus the name "Posada"). At each house, the resident responds by singing a song and Mary and Joseph are finally recognized and allowed to enter. Once the "innkeepers" let them in, the group of guests come into the home and kneel around the Nativity scene to pray.
Our Choir, Drama Department, Spanish Classes and Campus Ministry will be working together to present Las Posadas for our community. We will conclude with pinatas. Donations of candy to Ms. McLeod is greatly appreciated.
KSBW Share Your Holidays
We are still collecting new unwrapped toys for the Share Your Holiday Toy Drive until December 8th. We still need about 80 toys to reach our goal. Thank you for being the difference in our community!
