Dear St. Francis Families,
Rosary
October is the month where we celebrate the rosary and its beautiful traditions of prayer. We have a rosary club on campus that prays the rosary regularly during lunches. However, on October 24 we will be hosting a school wide rosary service where we will meditate on the Glorious Mysteries. All are welcome to join us.
We would love to give the opportunity for students to make their own rosaries. Please contact Ms. McLeod at [email protected] if you or someone you know, is able to come to campus and teach students how to make a rosary. Ms. McLeod will provide the supplies she just needs the knowledge and helping hands.
Freshman Retreat
Will be happening on October 3 at Our Lady Help of Christians (the church across the street). Please drop your student off and pick them up from the church. If they need to return to campus for sports, we will drive them over in the SF vans. Students can wear shark wear for the day. We will provide lunch and snacks, so no backpacks, books, or Ipads are needed. Retreats are considered an important part of Shark life, therefore all Freshman are required to attend. The retreat will run 7:50 am – 2:00 pm. Contact Ms. McLeod with any questions.
Kairos
The deadline to sign up for the Kairos Senior retreat is October 19. Please return your paperwork and $75 deposit to the front office. There are extra copies of the paperwork in Ms. McLeod’s room if needed. Kairos truly is a life changing opportunity. I hope all seniors will consider going. If you have any questions, please reach out to Ms. McLeod.
St. Francis of Assisi Mass
All are invited to join us for mass in the BAC to honor or school’s namesake, St. Francis of Assisi. This feast day mass will be held October 4 at 7:50 am. Fr. John Roache SDB will be our presider.
