Dear St. Francis Families,
Winter sports are underway and the athletics department would like to give a big thank you to all our volunteers! You are a huge reason why our student/athletes get to play in games/matches with such a great atmosphere.
Our next big event is the December 21st Alumni Basketball games. We are happy to let you know we will have a girls and a boys game for the alumni. We also will have an alumni gathering that event. We can’t wait to see you there!
As always please check the athletics calendar for game times and locations. Please keep in mind that games and matches, especially soccer due to weather are subject to change.
Congratulations to our SFHS wrestling team! We had four Frosh/Soph wrestlers competing in the Webber Lawson JV Tournament held at Fremont HS in Sunnyvale. Adam Martinez took 4th place and Zachary Paz, Manuel Madrigal, and Eddie Vargas all competed fiercely. On Saturday December 8th, Justin Parker, Hunter Blinkenberg and Isaac Tani competed at the Varsity level tournament at the same location. Justin took 3rd place, Hunter took 6th place, and Isaac lost his medal qualifier in triple overtime 14-12 - Heck of a match! This Saturday December 15th, the team hosts our first ever varsity wrestling tournament - The Don Bosco Invitational. Wrestling begins at 9 am and ends at 5 pm. Come support your classmates as they battle and represent the school!
